Date Night Sarasota FL
Sarasota is a couple’s town – with its architectural and natural beauty, rich arts scene, sexy beaches … and many a bar and eatery to enjoy a romantic dinner with the one you love.
If you’re here with your mate, take them on a date.
Here are our top picks for food and drinks and laughter:
The restaurant is small and intimate, and so is the menu, allowing each dish to tantalize, with fresh ingredients and even fresher preparations. Foodies will love this dimly lit bungalow, a great place to sit outside when the weather is right.
Local. Simple. Honest. If that’s the way you like it, you’ll love this eatery with a neighborhood ambiance. Salads come fresh off the Lettuce Grow Wall, which is harvested daily. The dining room is chic and cool, feeding off the vibrant energy of downtown, and encouraging conversation. Unless you want to stare into each other’s eyes – then just do that.
Get raw at Selva Grill, specializing in interesting ceviches and tapas that encourage exploration and trying new flavors. If you want a bigger meal, there are several delicious seafood and steak entrees, and sides to share. Make your way outside your comfort zone. You never know what you might discover … or where the night might lead.
Voted No. 1 among seafood restaurants in Sarasota (and that’s saying a lot), Duval’s receives fish deliveries every day and filets it all in-house. They also support many community organizations. So you can feel good, knowing that by eating here, you’re doing good. Happy Hour is daily from 3 to 7 p.m. (6 p.m. in the Dining Room), and 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.
This place is seriously cool. The “liquid chefs” are well versed in mixology, crafting old school or new age cocktails for the most accomplished of bar-hoppers. They also have inspired munchies, like the Mangez Trois (threesome of flavor) including garlic sesame hummus, coriander black bean dip and eggplant olive tapenade, or Grilled Cheese made ‘for your inner spoiled brat.’ But tonight, it’s all about spoiling each other.
We’ll see you back at the hotel.
Don’t forget the “Do Not Disturb” sign.
